La escasez del recurso hídrico y el desarrollo económico de nuestro país hacen necesarias la búsqueda y aplicación de nuevas tecnologías de tal manera de obtener un uso eficiente del agua y buscar nuevas fuentes para la obtención de este recurso. Así, en el último tiempo, se han desarrollado con gran fuerza nuevas tecnologías respecto de la desalinización y el reúso de agua servida tratada. Pero para lo anterior también es necesario que el marco jurídico se desarrolle y se actualice en línea con estos desafíos.Water scarcity and the economic development of the country have propelled the research and application of new technologies so as to efficiently manage the usage of water while also looking for new water resources. A strong effort has been made lately through the development of desalination and the reuse of treated wastewater. However, for this to be effective, the legal framework must be developed and updated in accordance with these challenges.
