Chile Episcopal Conference, between 1970 and 1978, took three big topics related to education: the proposal on giving Catholic Schools to the Estate of Chile; Educational Reform's proposal by president Salvador Allende, and by general Augusto Pinochet, the Education's Constitutional Organic Law. In this three big topics, the Church, represented by associated priests, had an active rol, exposing the doctrinal principles, the bishop's orders and lines of action, being in communion with Pontifical Teaching, as with Latin American Teachers, and our country's reality itself. This work is the result of an indagation inside the "Documents of Chilean Bishops", that takes a big part from the teaching of Chile's bishops. La Conferencia Episcopal de Chile entre los años 1970 y 1978 asumió tres grandes temas relacionados con el quehacer educativo: la propuesta de traspasos de Colegios Católicos al Estado de Chile; la propuesta de Reforma Educacional, del Presidente Salvador Allende y la reforma educativa del General Augusto Pinochet, la Ley Orgánica Constitucional de Educación. Frente estos tres grandes temas la Iglesia representada por los pastores colegiados, tuvo un rol activo, exponiendo los principios doctrinales, las directrices pastorales y líneas de acción, estando en comunión con el Magisterio Pontificio, como el Latinoamericano y la realidad misma de nuestro país. Este trabajo es el resultado de una indagación a la colección “Documentos del Episcopado Chileno”, que recoge en gran medida el magisterio de los pastores de Chile.
