| dc.description | El fortalecimiento del sistema bancario de diversos países de América Latina, luego de importantes crisis financieras durante los años 90 y a comienzos de la presente década, la consolidación de sus democracias, y las mayores investigaciones y análisis respecto a la relación desarrollo financiero y desarrollo económico, constituyen elementos fundamentales que han otorgado importancia a los temas: acceso a los servicios financieros y la profundización financiera.Este trabajo constituye una revisión bibliográfica referente a la relación entre desarrollo financiero y desarrollo económico y la importancia de la bancarización en América Latina y Chile, además de sus avances y dificultades aún presentes.Los estudios sobre la mencionada relación datan desde el año 1969 y han sido diversos, sin embargo, sólo en la actualidad se acepta la evidencia que el desarrollo financiero provoca desarrollo económico en forma significativa, vale decir, funciones tales como: movilización del ahorro, asignación eficiente, facilidad de intercambio de bienes y servicios, liquidez y profundización financiera, contribuyen al crecimiento económico. Asimismo se plantea que una mayor profundización financiera afecta positivamente al crecimiento económico, y un mayor acceso de las personas de menores ingresos a los servicios financieros puede disminuir la pobreza y mejorar la distribución del ingreso de un país o región.El sistema bancario ocupa un lugar importante dentro del sistema financiero, especialmente en países en vías de desarrollo, los países de América Latina presentan avances dispares, encontrándose el sistema bancario chileno en una posición privilegiada, sin embargo no exento de dificultades y con importantes desafíos para alcanzar mejores indicadores y por ende mayor desarrollo. | es-ES |
| dc.description | The strengthening of the banking system in different Latin American countries, after critical financial crises during the 90's and at the beginning of the current decade, the consolidation of democracies and the major research and analysis concerning the relationship between financial development and economic development are key elements which have made the following topics: Access to financial services and financial deepening.This work encompasses a bibliographic review regarding the relationship between financial development and economical development and the importance of access to and use of bank services in Latin America and Chile, in addition to its progress and difficulties still present.The studies on the mentioned relationship date back from 1969 and have been diverse, however, evidence that the financial development results in significant economical development is accepted only at present, that is to say, functions such as: mobilization of savings, efficient allocation of resources, opportunities for exchange of goods and services, liquidity and financial deepening, contribute to economical growth. Likewise, it is stated that a higher financial deepening positively affects the economical growth, and a better access to financial services from people with lower incomes may help poverty and improve the distribution of revenues in a particular country or region.The banking system has an important place within the financial system, especially in developing countries, the Latin America countries present desperate developments, with the Chilean banking system in a privileged position, and nevertheless, it is not exempt from difficulties and important challenges to achieve better indicators and therefore major development. | en-US |
