dc.description	The work of Gordon Matta-Clark has generated a growing interest in art and architecture and recently in our country because of its Chilean heritage. This article is an ongoing research that reviews bibliographical sources, photographs and the circumstances of an intervention carried out at the National Museum of Fine Arts in Santiago of Chile in 1971, and provides details of a work diffused in time and space, but still present in the museum. An intervention that is made in the context of a trip to South America, whose original purpose was to find his father, the painter Roberto Matta, and develop a strategic forum of artists in Chile, within the framework of the first year of the government of Salvador Allende. A first “architectural cut” into the fabric of a building and a seminal work in search of a “new light” in the heart of the building. A play misplaced in the history of architecture and art in Chile. A work difficult to trace, disseminated through stories, different names and photographs in black and white, manipulated and without narrative logic and dispersed incatalogs and national and international publications.	en-US
dc.description	La obra de Gordon Matta-Clark ha generado un creciente interés en el arte y en la arquitectura y, recientemente, en el país por su ascendencia chilena. El presente artículo es una investigación en curso que revisa las fuentes bibliográficas, fotografías y circunstancias de una intervención realizada en el Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes en 1971 y pretende aportar detalles de una obra difusa en el tiempo y en el espacio, pero aún presente en el museo. Dicha intervención se realizó en el contexto de un viaje a Sudamérica que hizo Gordon Matta-Clark —cuyo fin era encontrar a su padre, el pintor Roberto Matta— y desarrollar un foro estratégico de artistas en Chile, en el marco del primer año del gobierno de Salvador Allende. Un primer “corte arquitectónico” en un edificio y seminal en la búsqueda de una “luz nueva” en el corazón del edificio.Una obra traspapelada en la historia de la arquitectura y el arte en Chile. Una obra difícil de rastrear, diseminada a través de relatos, distintos nombres, fotografías en blanco y negro, manipuladas y sin lógica narrativa, dispersas en catálogos y publicaciones nacionales e internacionales.	es-ES
