| dc.description | Changes during the first decade of the nineteenth century areimportant to understand the basics of the origin and formationof the provincial government in Mendoza. During this periodof revolution and independence the most significant political,institutional and jurisdictional changes were originated; therewas a crisis in terms of dependence on higher authority andalso different forms of government and administration weretested in the province.We propose to show which political and institutional changesproduced in Mendoza during this revolutionary decade; specificallywe analyze the performance of General San Martinthe Governor Intendant of Cuyo, which was undoubtedly themost important authority of these years. We check how subsequentevents led to the disintegration of the Interior CuyoProvince and the formation of provinces as autonomous andindependent entities, not relegated to the Hispanic traditionnor detached from the influence of the institutions establishedduring this period, preserved some Spanish institutionsinherited and in full exercise of their functions, who joinednew institutions created from the revolutionary process andthe growing and progressive influence of the rationalist andrepublican ideas.Keywords: Political institutions, changes, stability, government,Mendoza. | en-US |
| dc.description | Las alteraciones producidas durante la primera década del sigloXIX son importantes para entender los fundamentos delorigen y formación del estado provincial en Mendoza. Duranteeste período de revolución e independencia se originaronlos cambios más significativos a nivel político, institucional yjurisdiccional; se produjo una crisis en cuanto a la dependenciade la autoridad superior y además, se ensayaron distintasformas de gobierno y administración en la provincia.Nos proponemos demostrar cuáles fueron las transformacionespolíticas e institucionales producidos en Mendoza durante estadécada exaltada y revolucionaria; de manera específica analizamosla actuación del general San Martín como Gobernador Intendentede Cuyo, que sin duda fue la autoridad más importante deestos años. Comprobamos cómo los sucesos posteriores derivaronen la desintegración de la Gobernación Intendencia de Cuyoy la formación de las provincias, como entidades autónomas eindependientes, que no relegaron de la tradición hispánica ni sedesprendieron de la influencia de las instituciones establecidasdurante este período, conservaron algunas instituciones españolasheredadas y en pleno ejercicio de sus funciones, que seunieron a instituciones nuevas, creadas a partir del proceso revolucionarioy de la influencia creciente y progresiva de las ideasracionalistas y republicanas.Palabras clave: Instituciones políticas.
