| dc.description | The article aims to analyze the conventual life of the Franciscan religious of the Province of the Holy Trinity of Chile, between 1750 and 1850, with the purpose of establishing if they actually managed to live as established by their Rule and Precepts, giving up the world for the Cloister and not looking the world in the cloister. The analysis was made from primary sources, some of them unpublished, such as: Visit Reports, Acts of the Venerable Definitorium, Patents Letters, Autos and Circulars, with which we will realize how difficult it was for the religious of Santiago to live In community, and contribute to the historiography with new elements that explain the relaxation of the customs in a time of changes and transformations. | en-US |
| dc.description | El artículo tiene como objetivo analizar la vida conventual de los religiosos franciscanos de la Provincia de la Santísima Trinidad de Chile, entre 1750 y 1850, con el propósito de establecer si efectivamente lograron vivir como lo establecía su Regla y Preceptos, renunciando al mundo por el claustro y no buscando en el claustro al mundo. El análisis se realizó a partir de fuentes primarias, algunas de ellas inéditas, como son: Informes de Visita, Actas del Venerable Definitorio, Letras Patentes, Autos y Circulares, con las cuales daremos cuenta de lo difícil que fue para los religiosos de Santiago vivir en comunidad, y aportar a la historiografía con nuevos elementos que explican la relajación de las costumbres en una época de cambios y transformaciones. | es-ES |
