dc.description	To raise the foundations of historical anthropology, we study firstthe terms of the debate, questioning the legitimacy and relevanceof that discipline, then present the work of French anthropologistand historian, Jean-Pierre Vernant (1914-2007), who revolutionizedsince 1960 the studies on ancient Greece. This analysis, which isnot intended to comprehensively present the writings of the historian,focuses on four key concepts from which outlines the theoreticaland methodological foundations of historical anthropology:the religious phenomenon, the notion of space, death and theindividual. dc.description	Para plantear los fundamentos de la antropología histórica, estudiamosen primer lugar los términos del debate, cuestionandola legitimidad y la actualidad de dicha disciplina. Se introduce ensegundo lugar la obra del historiador-antropólogo francés, Jean-Pierre Vernant (1914-2007), quien revolucionó a partir de la décadade 1960 los estudios sobre la Grecia antigua. Este análisis, que nopretende presentar de manera exhaustiva los escritos del historiador,se centra sobre cuatro nociones clave a partir de las cuales seesbozan los cimientos teóricos y metodológicos de la antropologíahistórica: el fenómeno religioso, la noción de espacio, la muerte yel individuo.
