The present article intends to identify the main interpretive standards applied by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in the matter of death penalty, for this purpose, the jurisprudence that the judicial body has dictated in this regard will be analyzed; having as a normative framework the American Convention on Human Rights.El presente artículo se propone identificar los principales estándares interpretativos aplicados por la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos en materia de pena de muerte, para ello, se analizará la jurisprudencia que el órgano judicial ha dictado al respecto; teniendo como marco normativo a la Convención Americana sobre Derechos Humanos.
