dc.description	The Nueva Granada Military University and Javeriana University implemented an investigation aimed at determining the viability qfthe use ofwastes generated by the iron and steel industry qf Boyacá (Colombia), with a view to improve thephysical mechanical properties of granular bases and subbases in the constmction of pavements. The tests performed to determine the changes in the mechanical properties qfthe granular material were the standard and modified Proctor and C.B.R. tests As a conclusión, U was established that the resistance índex (C.B.R.) and the density qfthe material increasedby up to a 15%.	en-US
dc.description	La Universidad Militar Nueva Granada y la Universidad Javeriana adelantaron una investigación conducente a determinar la viabilidad del empleo del desperdicio generado por la siderúrgica de Boyacá (Colombia), en la mejora de las propiedades físico-mecánicas de bases y subbases granulares utilizadas en la construcción de pavimentos. Los ensayos ejecutados para determinar los cambios en las propiedades mecánicas del material granular fueron el ensayo de proctor estándar, proctor modificado y C.B.R. Como conclusión se obtuvo que el índice de resistencia (C.B.R.) y la densidad del material se incrementó hasta en un 15%.	es-ES
