The reasons for the inferior performance of many of the current buildings and related energy systems are diverse and these are an important part caused by insufficient attention to the influence of the behaviour of the occupants. In smart buildings it is necessary to implement new opportunities to integrate human behaviour in the HVAC system. In addition, many researchers are limited in their investigation by not having low cost tools that can provide information to their studies. This article presents a review of the present state of art about globe thermometer, describes how to build your own globe temperature sensor and the experiments described illustrate the feasibility to use a black globe thermometer with 40mm diameter.en-US
