dc.descriptionRESUMEN:La estratigrafia del Cenozoico de la region comprendida entre Chiuchiu y Calama (22°20'-22°27' sur) esta representada por tres unidades sedimentarias relacionadas, discordantemente, entre si, cuyas edades van desde el Mioceno Inferior (?) al Pleistoceno Inferior (?). Ellas son las formaciones Calama, El Loa y Chiuchiu. Estas unidades representan hitos en la evolucion tectonica y climatica de la alta Cordillera Andina en el Norte Grande de Chile.es-ES
