| dc.description | RESUMEN. El volcanismo en la region meridional americana conforma un hecho todavia novedoso para la ciencia geologica, dadas las escasas observaciones realizadas. En este articulo se proporciona informacion historica, que da cuenta del progresivo conocimiento que, a lo largo de los tres ultimos siglos, ha podido obtenerse acerca de los centros eruptivos, algunos de los cuales mantienen la incognita sobre su actividad reciente y su real ubicacion geografica.ABSTRACT. Due to the scarcity of information, volcanism in the meridional American region is still a novelty to geological sciences. This paper gives historical information concerning the progressive knowledge which has been obtained along the last three centuries on eruptive centers, some of which are still unknown with respect to their recent activity and true geographical location. | es-ES |
