Cataclastic bands in the Tambillo Pluton: evidence of the ocloyic orogenesis in the Cordón de Lila, northern Chile

dc.description	Cataclastic bands from the eastern border of Tambillo Pluton are studied. Two band systems are observed: one northeast and the other northwest in strike. The northeast system is the most conspicuous and its kinematic analysis shows dextral displacement. The two directions of bands form right angle and this suggest that they formed from joints in the Tambillo Puton. A number of granodioritic dykes intruded along the bands and thus they constitute weak zones for dyke emplacement. The age of the cataclasis is undoubtely Ordovician and occurred during the Arenigian in a maximum span of time of only 11 m.y. It is assigned to the Ocloyic orogenesis.	en-US
dc.description	Se estudian las bandas de cataclastitas en el borde oriental del Plutón Tambillo. Se observan dos sistemas de bandas de cataclasis: uno noreste y el otro noroeste. El sistema noreste es el más conspicuo y su análisis cinemático indica movimientos destrales. La disposición en ángulo recto de las bandas de cataclastitas sugiere que éstas se formaron a partir de diaclasas en el Plutón Tambillo. Numerosos diques granodioríticos se emplazaron a lo largo de las bandas, que constituyeron zonas debilidad para su emplazamiento. La edad de la cataclasis es claramente ordovícica, y ocurrió en pleno Arenigiano dentro de un lapso posible de 11 m.a., por lo cual se las interpreta como una de las manifestaciones de la Orogénesis Oclóyica en el Cordón de Lila.	es-ES
