This paper analyzes the most relevant aspects of the reform of the canonical process of nullity of marriage carried out through the Motu Proprio Mitis Iudex Dominus Iesus (2015). The author proposes some keys to understand this reform from the teachings of Pope Francis, especially in the three speeches to the Tribunal of the Roman Rota. Three aspects are examined in particular: the pastoral mission of ecclesiastical tribunals; the concept of "manifest nullity" of the shortest process and the question of the relevance of the faith in the validity of canonical marriage. The text also refers to the last Synods of the Catholic Church on the family (in 2014 and 2015) and to the Apostolic Exhortation of Pope Francis Amoris laetitia.Este artículo expone los aspectos más relevantes de la reforma del proceso canónico de nulidad del matrimonio llevado a cabo por el Papa Francisco en 2015 a través del Motu Proprio Mitis Iudex Dominus Iesus. Propone además algunas claves para entender esta reforma desde las enseñanzas del Papa Francisco, principalmente en los tres discursos que hasta ahora ha pronunciado a la Rota Romana. Se examinan en particular tres aspectos: la misión pastoral de los tribunales eclesiásticos; el concepto de nulidad manifiesta del proceso más breve y la cuestión de la relevancia de la fe en la validez del matrimonio canónico. El texto hace también referencia a los Sínodos sobre la familia de los años 2014 y 2015 y a la Exhortación apostólica Amoris laetitia.
