dc.descriptionRu(1%)/Support (SiO2 y Al2O3) were prepared by sol-gel processing, using H2O/Alcoxide molar ration and gelation pH different. The surface area increase, with the gelation acidity decrease. The TPR has shown metal-support interaction and reducibility degree different. In all catalysts the metallic dispersion is low and the size of metallic ruthenium mainly depends of gelation pH. The activity the catalysts are probed in toluene hydrogenation. The principal product was methylcyclohexane, which increased with the metal particle size.
