Some time after the second embassy towards el Toboso, where Sandro has "cast a spell" over Dulcinea, Don Quijote refers to a new encounter with his lady in the mythical place, beyond the "Cueva de Montesinos" (The Cave of Montesinos), fictional territory and sequel, which has invited the most opposite views from the most diverse critical perspectives. Truth or lie, dream or true reality, happen to be polarities held up to interpret the adventure, and this oscillation is what makes our readings productive by engaging with both domains- the narrated text and that of the visited beyond, with a third confine usually left unatended by these readings: the femenine body. What is a woman like? What is that which is not represented, whose figuration is always elided? What lies behind the underskirt of Dulcinea?Con posterioridad a la segunda embajada hacia el Toboso, en la cual Sancho ha "encantado" a Dulcinea, don Quijote refiere un reencuentro con su dama en el indirimible más allá de la Cueva de Montesinos, territorio y secuencia ficcional que, desde los más variados ángulos críticos, ha suscitado los más encontrados pareceres. Verdad o mentira, sueño o realidad acaecida, suelen ser polaridades esgrimidas para interpretar la aventura y esta misma oscilación es la que nuestra lectura vuelve productiva al engarzar, a esos dos territorios -el del texto narrado y el del más allá visitado-, con un tercer confín habitualmente desatendido por estas lecturas: el cuerpo femenino. ¿Cómo es una mujer? ¿Qué es aquello que no se representa y cuya figuración siempre se elide? ¿Qué hay debajo del faldellín de Dulcinea?
