| dc.description | En las dos últimas décadas del siglo XVIII el virreinato del Río de la Plata aumentó la exportación de cueros hacia ultramar, resultado de la captura productiva de los mercados internos y del nexo de los comerciantes locales con la metrópoli. Algo semejante ocurrió en Perú, al comercializar cueros producidos localmente y en áreas de su influencia hacia la América septentrional. En ese contexto, el estudio resalta cómo a partir de esta división operativa, los tradicionales proveedores subregionales quedaron en desventaja para ofertar sus pieles de ganados menores. Por correspondencia privada y fuentes institucionales, se analiza la dinámica interna de la producción, distribución, tráfico y comercializaciónprincipalmente de cordobanes, desde los lugares productivos de origen hacia las plazas o mercados comercializables. En síntesis, se argumentan los factores que explican dónde y por qué los famosos cordobanes, badanas y pellones chilenos rezagaron sus exportaciones interregionales.
ABSTRACT
In last two decades of the 18th century the viceroyalty of the Silver increased the export of leather towards overseas ensued from the productive capture of the internal markets and of the link of the local merchants with the bureaucratic device. Something similar happened in Peru, on having commercialized leather produced locally and in areas of his influence towards the north America. In this context, the study highlights how from this operative division, the traditional sub regional suppliers stayed in disadvantage to offer his skins of minor cattles. For private correspondence and institutional sources, there is analyzed the internal dynamics of the production, distribution, traffic and commercialization principally of cordovans, from the productive places of origin towards the squares or marketable markets.
