| dc.description | Se describe el único fardo funerario conocido del Cementerio LasTurquesas y se revalúa junto a su contexto cultural, vinculándolos conel sitio Mina Las Turquesas, recientemente excavado. AbstractThe recent archaeological revaluation of the only known mummifiedremains from the Cementerio Las Turquesas site, links itsbioanthropological and material contexts to the nearby residentialand turquoise mining site of Mina Las Turquesas, recently excavated.Fieldwork there provided evidence of along-span preinkasettlement,and our appraisal reaffirms this on the basis of the recentlyundertaken cultural adscription of human remains, that has allowedus to posit that both sites were part of the economically and rituallysignificative Atacameño sphere of interaction, fundamentally withinthe Late Intermediate Period.Palabras clave : cemetery and Turquoise Mine; Atacameño interaction sphere; stone mining; Late Intermediate Period. | es-ES |
