Starting from the recognition of the feeling of loss of sense that overpowers man nowadays, in this article the educational role and value of Family and School are rescued. The essential contribution of the Family as educational agent exists in the level of interpersonal relationships, because being the Family the natural environment to grow as a human being, it is the best “School of Social Virtues”. The educational contribution of School comes from its condition of being a cultural environment, due to the virtuality of the encountering situations that could be produced with the world marvels and the values, so awakening the capacity of amazement and stimulating creativity in learners and educators. Family and School, acting together, help the person to learn how to live creatively and in harmony with him/ herself, with his/her fellows and with God, with nature and culture.A partir del reconocimiento del sentimiento de pérdida de sentido que hoy embarga al hombre, en este artículo se rescata el rol y valor educativo de la Familia y de la Escuela.  El aporte fundamental de la Familia, en cuanto agencia educativa, se sitúa en el plano de las relaciones interpersonales, pues ella, por ser ámbito natural para crecer como persona, es la mejor Escuela de Virtudes Sociales. El aporte educativo de la Escuela dimana de su condición de ámbitocultural, por lo tanto, de la virtualidad de las situaciones de encuentro que puede suscitar con las maravillas del mundo y sus valores, logrando así despertar la capacidad de asombro y fomentar la creatividad de educandos y educadores. Familia y Escuela, actuando mancomunadamente, ayudan a que la persona aprenda a vivir armónica y creativamente consigo misma, con el prójimo y con Dios, con la naturaleza y la cultura.
