| dc.description | Curricular options are not neutral. They are the results of interest, conceptions, beliefs and values. The following article presents a critical vision of curricular orientations that have been developed for indigenous population. It relates the present Curricular Reform to the development of Bilingual Intercultural Education. Traditional education has emphasized linguistic over intercultural, pedagogical, and curricular aspects. Therefore, the curricular orientation of Bilingual Intercultural Education should be directed to the symbolic articulation and explanation of life styles. | en-US |
| dc.description | Sosteniendo que las opciones curriculares no son neutras en tanto reflejan intereses, concepciones, creencias y valores, el presente artículo muestra una visión crítica acerca de las orientaciones curriculares que la escuela tradicional ha tenido respecto de la población indígena y vincula la actual reforma curricular al desarrollo de la Educación Intercultural Bilingüe, sosteniendo que los énfasis han estado más dirigidos hacia los aspectos lingüísticos que hacia los que dicen relación con la interculturalidad, la educación y el desarrollo curricular. Sobre esta base sostiene que la orientación curricular de la Educación Intercultural Bilingüe debe estar dirigida a la “articulación simbólica de mundos de vida”, explicitando los requerimientos que para ello existen. | es-ES |
