In the last decade, the primary and secondary schools financed by the Chilean State have modified substantially their resources and processes, but their outcomes had not modified that much. An expression of this change is the types of problems or aspects that need to be improved; the national strategies have shown to be effective, but they have been limited in certain type of schools; however, these strategies can still help the improvement of schools, provided that they become more flexible, so that they can fortify their potential to respond to the problems of each primary or secondary school, in particular. This improves the opportunities of quality support. One possible step, on this line, is to invite all those that have shown capacity of proposal and implementation in educational contexts of risk. To undertake this challenge, this article presents and analyzes background information upon the supervision and the private services of advising in Chile and proposes a system that articulates the private and public offer of advising to the Chilean primary and secondary schools.En la última década, los establecimientos subvencionados chilenos han modificado sustantivamente sus insumos y procesos, sus resultados no tanto. Una expresión de este cambio es la singularidad de los problemas o aspectos por mejorar; las estrategias nacionales han mostrado efectividad pero muchas de ellas han alcanzado su umbral en ciertos establecimientos; con todo, no se han agotado y pueden ser dotadas de mayor plasticidad para que fortalezcan su potencial de respuesta a los problemas de la escuela o liceo en particular. Ello ya mejora las oportunidades de apoyo de calidad. Un paso más aventurado es convocar a todos aquellos que han demostrado capacidad de propuesta e implementación en contextos de riesgo educativo. Para abordar este desafío, este trabajo expone y analiza antecedentes sobre la supervisión y los servicios privados de asesoría y propone un sistema que articule la oferta ministerial y privada de asesoría a las escuelas y liceos.
