She received the National Award of Sciences (2003) because of her advocacy to children’s literacy development and learning disabilities’ study. | dc.description | Mabel Condemarín Grimberg, fue profesora en el Departamento de Educación Especial y Diferencial de la Facultad de Educación y en el Magíster en Psicología de la Escuela de Psicología de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. La educadora y Premio Nacional en Ciencias de la Educación 2003, destacó ampliamente en dos temas capitales: el primero, el de la lectura de los niños. Sostenía “la necesidad de enseñarles a los niños deztrezas, pero también un método global” (N. Milicic). “Su enfoque era contextualizado: el niño aprende a leer frases que tienen un significado para él” (L. Bravo). El segundo tema fue la de los niños con dificultades de aprendizaje. Sobre el particular publicó, con su equipo, innumerables obras, verdaderos manuales, para profesores, investigadores, y también para los niños y sus padres. | es-ES |
