Abstract
Violence is an inherent event to human subjectivity interpreted from some symbolic networks of human action, which are enrooted in the social imaginary of a given historical community. The article begins by enquiring into some relations between body and subjectivity precisely by relieving the reinterpretation of the body as the very place for subjectivity. Secondly, an attempt is made to articulate the relations between subjectivity and social imaginary in order to connect subjectivity with emergent social horizons where some of the violence ‘figures’ are likely to be located and interpreted in a globalized and postmodern culture. Keywords: Subjectivity, social imaginary, violence.
