| dc.description | The object of this paper is to make a current analysis of the actual situation of preschool written language teaching, both from a theoretical and empirical perspective. | dc.description | Este artículo tiene como propósito presentar un análisis actual, desde una perspectiva teórica y empírica, de la realidad de la enseñanza de la escritura en la etapa inicial. Al mismo tiempo, se pretende reflexionar acerca de los nuevos aportes frente a dicha enseñanza, que dejan de lado una mirada tan sólo de carácter psicomotriz, asumiendo que la escritura es un proceso que requiere de habilidades cognitivas y lingüísticas y que descansa en un contexto de carácter cultural, social y comunicativo.
