| dc.description | El libro “El declive de la escuela republicana” de Bernard Hugonnier, aborda en términos descriptivo/comparativo la igualdad y equidad de la escuela republicana francesa. Se desarrolla en tres secciones. En la primera parte se evalúa la escuela en Francia, en torno a 4 aspectos: igualdad de acceso a la educación, igualdad de medios (recursos), igualdad de calidad e igualdad de oportunidades. El cumplimiento del conjunto de estas cuatro igualdades es lo que el autor denomina “equidad”. Se realiza un análisis estadístico comparativo, identificando la ubicación de Francia en comparación con otros países miembros de la OECD, en aspectos demográficos, de inversión y de resultado de pruebas estandarizadas. El estudio de la “igualdad de oportunidades” se realiza en base a los resultados obtenidos en PISA y centra su análisis en la varianza intra/inter institucional, el impacto del nivel socioeconómico y origen cultural en el rendimiento de los estudiantes, la resiliencia y repetición en estudiantes de origen modesto, el rendimiento de los niños y las niñas, el rendimiento de jóvenes inmigrantes y el desempeño de instituciones públicas y privadas.http://dx.doi.org/10.7764/PEL.51.1.2014.26 | es-ES |
| dc.description | The book “The decline of the republican school” by Bernard Hugonnier addresses in descriptive/comparative terms the equality and equity of the French republican school. It is divided into three sections. The first part evaluates four aspects of school in France: equal access to education, equal means (resources), equal quality and equal opportunities. The fulfillment of these four equalities is what the author calls “equity.” The author conducts a comparative statistical analysis, comparing France with other OECD member countries in terms of demographics, investment, and standardized test results. The “equality of opportunities” study is conducted based on the results of the PISA test and focuses its analysis on intra/inter institutional variance, the impact of socioeconomic status and cultural background on student performance, resilience and repetition in students from modest backgrounds, the performance of boys and girls, the performance of young immigrants, and the performance of public and private institutions.http://dx.doi.org/10.7764/PEL.51.1.2014.25 | en-US |
