| dc.description | Las demandas ambientales son cada vez más apremiantes y por ello contradictorias con actividades productivas que impactan severamente la ecología. De esto se podría deducir que se presentan condiciones favorables para que la población asuma un papel muy activo en contra de anomalías ambientales.

Environmental demands are becoming more and more compelling each time. Therefore, these demands turn themselves contradictory with the productive activities which create a severe impact on ecology. Hence, we could deduce that there exist some favourable conditions for the population to take a highly active role against en vironmental damage.
However, in Iquique, after thírty years of fishíng-industry pollution, environmental demands have not been satisfied. So, the main reason for this work is to evaluate the role of social actors in this sort of social paradox. | es-ES |
