| dc.description | El presente artículo considera a escritores y geógrafos que han escrito sobre Iquique, tal como si fueran etnógrafos que nos entregan información sobre esta ciudad, destacando aspectos poco probables de encontrar en otras fuentes. Se recrea tanto el ambiente de la ciudad como algunas de sus costumbres y hábitos.

This article considers writers who have written about Iquique as if they were ethnographers that provide information aboutthe city, highlighting features unlikely to be found in other sources. Both the setting of the city and some of its customs and habits are portrayed.
