Los procesos políticos desarrollados en Chile durante la década del)0 han evidenciado cierta contradicción entre la democracia y la democratización, pues los límites impuestos en la década anterior han impedido un avance paralelo entre su expresión política y social. Este fenómeno social, a la vez, ha puesto restricciones a la búsqueda de la igualdad, en tanto no se consiga conciliar las atenciones focalizadas con la necesaria redistribución estructural. Se requiere entonces reforzar las relaciones entre el Estado, el sistema de representación y los actores sociales, como condición previa para viabilizar la sociedad en un régimen político democrático. The political developments that took place in Chile during the)0’s have shown a certain contradictions between democracy and democratization, since the restrictions imposed in the previous decade have prevented a parallel advance between its political and social expressions. This social phenomenon has, in time, restricted the pursuit for equity, as long as there is no conciliation between focused attention and the necessary structural redistribution. It is, therefore, necessary to strengthen the relationships between state, the system of representation and the social agents, as a prior requirement to make society viable within a democratic regime.
