| dc.description | This article analyzes body punishment, distinguished from that of physical abuse. An analysis on the issue in different countries is made in relation to the application of ways of punishment. The investigation shows that certain societies still(yet) use corporal punishment as one more form(way) to stop troublesome behaviors. This can lead us to thinking that it is not necessary to abandon the thesis that this strategy is rejected at present by all the sectors of the society, but we must be sensitive to the idea that certain professionals and families consider it as one instrument for the alteration of unacceptable behaviors. | en-US |
| dc.description | En este artículo se enmarca el término de castigo corporal diferenciándolo del de abuso físico, a la vez que se realiza un análisis sobre la perspectiva de diferentes países con relación a la aplicación de dicha forma de castigo. La investigación y la teoría analizada muestran cómo ciertas sociedades todavía reclaman el uso del castigo corporal como una forma más para frenar los comportamientos molestos. Esto nos puede llevar a pensar que no se debe abandonar la tesis sobre el hecho de que esta estrategia es rechazada en la actualidad por todos los sectores de la sociedad, sino que debemos ser sensibles a la idea de que ciertos profesionales y familias lo consideran un instrumento más para la corrección de conductas consideradas no correctas. | es-ES |
