| dc.description | This study merged so as to give an answer to the orientation needs of the evolving work in education and also to back up this work in relation to gender equity on the stage of a new region. The indicators were selected according to the present educational policies of gender equity in Chile (IEGE), which are also the core and centre of our study (IEGE). These indicators are the result of the whole development of the indicator system followed up at the International conferences in Latin America and in the Caribbean that took place during the 90's in different parts of the World. The study of these indicators will allow us to characterize them as a base line of indicator values in the region, considering the future situation for the new regions Los Lagos and Los Ríos, respectively. We will obtain measurements that will permit a systematic evaluation of the evolution of the results obtained in relation to the new regions and in this way, to visualize the gender problems at the students' level in the Provincia of Valdivia. To accomplish the above mentioned, a comparative study between Región de los Lagos, the towns in relation to their provinces, of the new regions compared to their capitals, and of the towns of the province of Valdivia in relation to the city of Valdivia considering the values given by the Educational Gender Equality index obtained. The methodology to develop is to apply sorting analysis through main components. This technique allowed the construction of a typology of students, already selected, sorted according to the dispersion of the educational gender indicators, building a synthetic indicator of all of them, that may consent to characterize in this dimension the management indicator system in today's Region de los Lagos and its provinces, as well as in the Province of Valdivia, today a new region. | en-US |
| dc.description | Este estudio surge a modo de respuesta a la necesidad de entregar orientaciones que apoyen la labor de evolución futura de la sociedad educativa actual en lo que respecta a la equidad de género en el nuevo escenario, para la nueva conformación regional. En concordancia con las actuales políticas educativas y de equidad en Chile1 es que se seleccionaron los indicadores de equidad de género educacionales (IEGE), y es centro de nuestro estudio. Estos indicadores que se trabajaron, son el resultado de un desarrollo conjunto de los sistemas de indicadores para el seguimiento de las conferencias internacionales en América Latina y el Caribe efectuadas durante la década del 90 en diferentes países del mundo2. Estudiando estos indicadores, nos permitirá caracterizarlos como una línea base de valores de indicadores en la región, en vista de la situación futura para las nuevas Regiones de Los Lagos y de Los Ríos, respectivamente. Concretamente, se obtendrán medidas que permitirán una evaluación sistemática de la evolución de los resultados obtenidos referidos a las nuevas regiones y de esta manera visualizar la problemática de género a nivel de los educandos dentro de la provincia de Valdivia modificada. Para lograr lo anterior, se efectuó un estudio comparativo entre las comunas de la Región de Los Lagos, de sus comunas con respecto a sus provincias, de las nuevas regiones comparadas con sus capitales provinciales, y de las comunas de la provincia de Valdivia respecto a la ciudad de Valdivia en cuanto a los valores que entregó el índice de Equidad de Género Educacional obtenido. La metodología a desarrollar consistió en la aplicación de un análisis de ordenación mediante componentes principales. Esta técnica permitió construir una tipología de los educandos, ordenada de acuerdo a la dispersión de los indicadores de género educacionales, ya seleccionados, construyéndose un indicador sintético de todos ellos, que pueda permitir caracterizar, en esta dimensión, el sistema de indicadores de gestión en la actual Región de Los Lagos y sus provincias, así como también en la hasta ahora provincia de Valdivia, hoy nueva Región3. | es-ES |
