dc.descriptionThe main objective of this research is to compare the problems of Community-Based Tourism (CBT) and its governance processes in Panguipulli - Chile commune with Brazilian experiences. In this way the specific objectives are framed in: Analyze the relationship between the TBC and the governance paradigm and identify similar problems of the TBC that occur in Panguipulli (Chile) and Brazil. This is a comparative and interdisciplinary research based on direct observation, bibliographic review and application of participating action research techniques, such as participatory maps and discussion groups. In Panguipulli 11 problems were identified, which were compared with similar phenomena that occurred in Brazil. It was not possible to identify similar experiences in Brazil for all the problems identified in Panguipulli, but most of these (7 of 11) have been compared. Those that have been identified in Brazil, have development processes far superior to the experience of the TBC in Panguipulli that at the time of this research had only 3 years of existence, however, Brazilian cases are quite useful to assess potential future effects of the activity in southern Chile.en-US
dc.descriptionEl estudio tiene como objetivo principal comparar las principales problemáticas del Turismo de Base Comunitaria (TBC) y sus procesos de gobernanza en la comuna de Panguipulli - Chile con experiencias brasileñas. De esta forma los objetivos específicos se enmarcan en: Analizar la relación entre el TBC y el paradigma de gobernanza e Identificar problemáticas similares del TBC que suceden en Panguipulli (Chile) y Brasil. Se trata de una investigación comparativa e interdisciplinaria basada en la observación directa, revisión bibliográfica y aplicación de técnicas de la Investigación Acción Participante (IAP), tales como grupos de discusión, mapas participativos y mesas de discusión interdisciplinaria. Se presentan cada una de las 11 problemáticas del TBC en Panguipulli, las que fueron comparadas con fenómenos similares acontecidos en Brasil. Si bien, no se lograron identificar experiencias similares en Brasil para todas las problemáticas identificadas en Panguipulli, la mayoría de estas (7 de 11), han podido compararse. Las que se han logrado comparar, cuentan con procesos de desarrollo muy superiores a la experiencia del TBC en Panguipulli que al momento de esta investigación contaba con solo 3 años de existencia, sin embargo, los casos brasileños son bastante útiles para evaluar potenciales efectos futuros de la actividad en el sur de Chile.es-ES
