| dc.description | In recent years, tourism has been stimulated in several places of Mexico, seeking to become the engine of regional socioeconomic development. One example is the "Magic Towns of Mexico" led by the Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR), with which it is sought to structure a complementary and diversified tourism and exploit the uniqueness of the locations by the provision of differentiated tourism products.However, tourism can help to generate social and cultural changes in their host countries, so this work presents an approach to determine whether residents of two destinations that are part of the Magic Towns are satisfied with tourist activity, and makes a comparative analysis which allows to measure the relationship between the stimulation to tourism development and the extent to which the tourism industry satisfies the recipient population. The social and cultural impacts are usually difficult to assess, therefore, the present study is based on the residents’ perception on the effects of tourism in their community. This study has been developed taking into account the satisfaction of residents with the environmental, social and economic dimension, through four or five reactants for each dimension of a survey using a Likert-type scale. | en-US |
| dc.description | En los últimos años, la actividad turística ha sido impulsada en varios destinos del territorio mexicano, buscando que sea el motor del desarrollo socioeconómico regional. Un ejemplo es el programa “Pueblos Mágicos de México” impulsado por la Secretaria de Turismo (SECTUR), con el que se busca estructurar una oferta turística complementaria y diversificada, así como aprovechar las singularidades de las localidades para la oferta de productos turísticos diferenciados. Sin embargo, el turismo puede contribuir a generar cambios sociales y culturales en las sociedades anfitrionas, por ello este trabajo presenta un acercamiento que permita determinar si los residentes de dos destinos que forman parte del programa Pueblos Mágicos están satisfechos con la actividad turística, y hacer un análisis comparativo que permita dimensionar la relación que existe entre el impulso al desarrollo turístico y el grado en que la actividad turística satisface a la población receptora. Los impactos sociales y culturales son, normalmente, difíciles de evaluar, en consecuencia, el estudio que se presenta se basa en la percepción de los residentes sobre los efectos del turismo en su comunidad. Dicho estudio se ha desarrollado tomando en cuenta la satisfacción de los residentes con la dimensión ambiental, social y económica, a través de 4 ó 5 reactivos para cada dimensión de una encuesta, empleando una escala tipo Likert. | es-ES |
