dc.description	At the light of several colonial literary works, this article reviews relationships between poetry and politics from the Colony to the first formation of the Chilean Republic. This approach allows us to observe that in the early literary creation of the kingdom of Chile there existed a deep mixture between historical discourse, political discourse and poetic enunciation of reality. Such mixture is what is presented as the “transcolonial imagination of Chile”, which is concretized as a foundational poetic-literary matrix of important weight in the historical and cultural configuration of Chile.	en-US
dc.description	A la luz de varias obras literarias coloniales, este artículo revisa las relaciones entre poesía y política desde la Colonia hasta la primera formación de la  República chilena. Este enfoque permite observar que en la creación literaria temprana del reino de Chile existió una profunda mixtura entre el discurso histórico, el discurso político y la enunciación poética de la realidad. Tal mixtura es lo que se presenta como la “imaginación transcolonial de Chile”, que se concreta como matriz poético-literaria fundacional de importante gravitación en la configuración histórica y cultural de Chile.	es-ES
