dc.description	Between November 18, 1837, and April 21, 1838, the weekly magazine "Fashion" (La Moda) appeared every Saturday in Buenos Aires. Articles referring to customs and others of programming nature were published, establishing statements of aesthetic-political ideas. Within the former we could find original texts as well as re-editions of fragments of essays and articles shown in other publications, previously translated to Spanish. The purpose of our work is to characterize the translating practice -which in some cases is more complex since they are a translation of a former translation-, considering, on one hand, its nature of cultural mediation, and, on the other hand, its effect and importance on the aesthetic program of the weekly contributors.	en-US
dc.description	Entre el 18 de noviembre de 1837 y el 21 de abril de 1838 aparece cada sábado en Buenos Aires el semanario La Moda. En sus páginas se publican artículos de costumbres y otros de carácter programático, consagrados a la exposición de sus ideas estético-políticas. Entre estos últimos encontramos tanto textos propios como reediciones de fragmentos de ensayos y artículos aparecidos en otras publicaciones, traducidos previamente al castellano. El propósito de nuestro trabajo es caracterizar esta práctica de traducción -que en algunos casos se complejiza al constituir una traducción de una traducción previa-, considerando, por un lado, su carácter de mediación cultural y, por el otro, su incidencia e importancia en el programa estético de los colaboradores del semanario.	es-ES
