Within the framework of the notion of "linguistics in the poem", the paper examines the view of language explicitly expressed in texts of Damsi Figueroa and Marcelo Garrido, young poets from Concepción. These texts offer interesting insights concerning the nature, structure, and functions of language, especially in regard to the relation between the heuristic and poetic function.En el marco de la noción de "lingüística en el poema", se examina la visión del lenguaje explicitada en textos de los jóvenes poetas penquistas Damsi Figueroa y Marcelo Garrido. Estos textos entregan intuiciones interesantes acerca de la naturaleza, estructura y función de la lengua, lo cual permite una comprensión de la función heurística del lenguaje, acrecentada en la función poética.
