| dc.description | This article deals with what I have called the invisible access to Chilean television news. The aim of this article is to find in news reports the presence of voices located in the extra linguistic context and show their influence on the journalist and interviewee. In spite of the fact the voices are not present in an explicit way on the news texts they exert power over them. It is a kind of polyphony that may be found across the study of linguistic negations used by journalists and their information sources. These negations are the answer to statements that were made previously but not in front of the cameras because they belong to the extra linguistic context or to the original event. In this way, we can see a dialectics between the invisible voices that have access to the news and exert power over discourse and the voices present in an explicit way that exert power in discourse. This relationship between access, discourse and power on Chilean TV news are analysed using the Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) approach through the analysis of three main television news bulletins. | en-US |
| dc.description | El presente trabajo aborda lo que he denominado el acceso invisible a las noticias de la televisión chilena. El objetivo es detectar en las notas de prensa la presencia de voces provenientes del contexto extralingüístico y develar la influencia que éstas ejercen sobre los periodistas y los entrevistados. Se trata de una forma de polifonía que se manifiesta especialmente a través de las negaciones lingüísticas empleadas por los periodistas y por sus fuentes de información. Estas negaciones tienen un carácter metalingüístico, en tanto refutan afirmaciones que otras voces efectuaron con anterioridad en el contexto extralingüístico (o acontecimiento original); por lo mismo, se trata de voces que no son visibles en la pantalla de TV. Se establece así un juego de poder entre voces invisibles y voces que sí son claramente identificables, que se traduce en una dialéctica entre voces que ejercen poder sobre el discurso -las no visibles- y otras que ejercen poder por dentro del discurso, las de los periodistas. Esta relación entre acceso, discurso y poder en las noticias de la televisión chilena se aborda desde la perspectiva del Análisis Crítico del Discurso (ACD), a través del análisis de las noticias de los tres principales noticiarios de la televisión chilena. | es-ES |
