| dc.description | This work offers an analysis of the short story "China" (1998) by José Donoso, as a narrative world where power is fictionalized, and exerts physical discipline on the characters, through devices and technologies characterised by their wealth of detail. It is in the detail that the marks of disciplinary power are observed, and at the same time resistance to that power. Among the procedures standardized and characterized by imperceptibility and wealth of detail, we find the look - optimized through detail of the dark glasses, the mattress, the map, the female hair-do and syllabic reading. These details act not only as "realistic effects", determining the realist aesthetic which defines the text, but as forms of power which produce resistance when they are introduced: where there is power, there is resistance. | en-US |
| dc.description | Este trabajo propone analizar el cuento "China" (1998) de José Donoso como un mundo narrativo donde el poder se ficcionaliza y actúa disciplinariamente en los cuerpos de los personajes, a través de dispositivos y tecnologías que se caracterizan por la minucia. Es en el detalle donde se pueden observar las marcas del poder disciplinario y, al mismo tiempo, una resistencia a él. Dentro de los procedimientos normalizadores, caracterizados por su imperceptibilidad, destacan: la mirada, optimizada a través de las gafas, el colchón, el mapa, el peinado femenino, la lectura silabeada. Estos detalles no sólo funcionan como "efectos de realidad", determinando la estética realista que define el texto, sino como formas de poder que al instalarse producen resistencia: donde hay poder hay resistencia. | es-ES |
