| dc.description | Se entrega información hasta ahora de hecho desconocida sobre tres excursiones realizadas en la Patagonia austral en los años de 1870, con punto de partida en la antigua colonia chilena de Punta Arenas. Los protagonistas fueron un australiano, Ralph Williams y dos franceses, Hilaire Bouquet y un químico desconocido. Todos dejaron relaciones sobre sus viajes y aunque de distinto valor las mismas se ponderan en el contexto de la época y se aprecian sus aportes para un mejor conocimiento de la etnografía y de la naturaleza meridionales durante la época inmediatamente anterior al comienzo de la ocupación colonizadora del territorio. | es-ES |
| dc.description | Information, till now in fact unknown, about three excursions done to southern Patagonia during the years of the 1870 decade and that started in the old Chilean colony of Punta Arenas, are given. The protagonists were an Australian, Ralph Williams, and two French, Hilaire Bouquet and an unknown chemist. All of them left narrations about there voyages and, although each one of different value, they are assessed in the context of the age and their contributions to a better knowledge of the ethnography and the southern nature during an epoch immediately before the beginning of the colonization settlements in the territory. | en-US |
