Este estudio presenta los resultados de los análisis arqueozoológicos hechos sobre restos de aves, recuperados en excavaciones de sondeo de sitios ubicados en bahía Inútil, Tierra del Fuego. Conjuntamente con la información obtenida, se analizan las fuentes etnográfi cas referidas al aprovechamiento de las aves, para delinear algunas hipótesis referidas a la explotación, consumo y aprovechamiento del recurso ave por parte de los grupos selk’nam.This study presents the results of the analyses zooarchaeological made on remains of birds, recovered from test pits excavated in sites located in Inútil bay, Tierra del Fuego. Jointly with the obtained information, the sources ethnographics are analyzed referred to the use of the birds, to delineate some hypotheses referred to the exploitation, consumption and use of the resource bird on the part of the group’s selk’nam.
