ResumenLos Hamartomas hipotalámicos (HH) son masas poco frecuentes que usualmente aparecen en forma nodular unidos al tuber cinereum o a los cuerpos mamilares. Desde el advenimiento de la tomografía computarizada, el hamartoma hipotalámico es agregado como una causa común de pubertad precoz representando 16% de los casos en niñas y hasta 50% en los niños. No obstante los estudios, poco se conoce acerca de la historia natural de los hamartomas hipotalámicos.Se considera de interés comunicar el caso de Patricia una menor de 6 años con diagnostico de (HH) que le indujo pubertad precoz; revisando parte de las manifestaciones clínicas, la evaluación realizada así como la estrategia terapéutica asumida y sus resultados a un año del diagnostico inicial.Palabras clave: Hamartoma hipotalamico, Evaluación psicopedagogica, pubertad precoz.AbstractThe Hypothalamic Hamartomas (HH) are masses with low frequency of appearance that usually appear in nodes united to Tuber Cinereum or to the Mamillary Bodies. Since the development of the computerized tomography, hipotalamic hamartoma is considered as one of the the most common cause of precocious puberty, representing the 16% of the subjects in girls and up to 50% in boys. Despite the studies, little it is known about hipotalamic hamartoma natural history. It is considered of interest to present the case of a 6 year old child, Patricia, who was diagnosed with (HH) that induced precocious puberty ; reviewing part of the clinical manifestations followed by the realised evaluation as well as the therapeutic strategy and its results after a year from the initial diagnosis.Key Words: Hamartoma; Hypothalamus, precocious puberty.
