| dc.description | The present document is based on the finding that the reconfiguration its the way in which the detention and/or torture centers are established by the chilean military dictatorship. ‘Reconfiguration’ means the process by which the property is altered on its purpose and meaning and moreover on its infrastructure. Thus, stadiums, universities, high schools, colleges, hospitals, became part of the huge contingent of 1.168 detention and/or torture centers that operated during the dictatorship. Using the testimonies of prisoners that were confined in such places is intended to establish the way in which they became involved in such process of reconfiguration, and the way in which this affected them, setting up another form of torture. | en-US |
| dc.description | El presente escrito parte propone que el modo en que se constituyen los centros de detención y/o tortura de la dictadura militar chilena es el de la reconfiguración. Por “reconfiguración” se entenderá el proceso por el cual a un inmueble se le altera, por una parte, su finalidad y sentido, y por otra, se interviene su infraestructura. Es así como estadios, universidades, liceos y colegios, hospitales, etc., pasaron a ser parte del enorme contingente de 1.168 centros de detención y/o tortura que operaron durante la dictadura. A la luz de los testimonios de los prisioneros que fueron encerrados en dichos lugares, se intenta establecer la forma en que se les involucró en dichos procesos de reconfiguración y la manera en que esto los afectó, dando lugar a otra forma de suplicio. | es-ES |
