dc.description	The following essay aims to underline a few turning points in the work of Michel Foucault in contrast to Edward Said’s intellectual production, one of his main promoters in the United States. This essay will trace the articles in which Said dealt with the work of Foucault and that were later rewritten so as to drift apart from the French thinker and, at the same time, make a critique about his work. As it is argued here, this conflict is due to the result of Palestine policies inside the academia Said was intensely developing with Orientalism and the critiques that it provoked.	en-US
dc.description	El presente ensayo tiene por objetivo señalar los puntos de inflexión que la obra del filósofo Michel Foucault ha tenido a lo largo de la producción intelectual de Edward Said, uno de sus principales promotores en Estados Unidos. Para ello se rastrean los trabajos en que Said se ocupó de Foucault y que posteriormente fueron reescritos, con el fin de distanciarse del pensador francés, a la vez que criticarlo. Ello, se argumenta aquí, fue el resultado de la política palestina dentro del ámbito académico que fue desarrollando Said con mayor intensidad a partir de Orientalismo y las críticas suscitadas.	es-ES
