dc.description	This framework presents Arthur Danto’s thoughts on the history of art as a Bildungsroman, taking into account the ways artistic dance has acquied its own autonomous path, through the possibilities and limitations of its means of expression and how production and reception have infl uenced the art of dance.Based on this historiographical model, the progressive history of dance as a spectacle can be exposed as a narrative determined by the search for aesthetic autonomy, starting from the defi nition of its artistic statute towards the middle of the 17th century with the creation of the Royal Academy of Music and Dance, up to the Judson Dance Theatrer experimental activities in New York that modifi ed the ontological status of this artistic practice.	en-US
dc.description	Este planteo articula el pensamiento de Arthur Danto acerca de la historia del arte como Bildungsroman con los modos en los que la danza artística se ha ido delineando como campo autónomo, a partir de los modos de producción y recepción que actuaron sobre el arte de la danza.Partiendo de este modelo historiográfi co, la historia progresiva de la danza espectacular puede exponerse como un relato determinado por la búsqueda de la autonomía estética, desde la defi nición de su estatuto artístico hacia la mitad del siglo XVII con la creación de la Real Academia de Música y Danza, hasta las actividades experimentales del Judson Dance Theater de Nueva York, y que a partir de 1962 modifi caron el estatus ontológico de esta práctica artística.	es-ES
