A discussion of the aesthetic criteria on which a discourse on «danceability » is based, must consider the long-standing stage traditions which originated at the turn of the 20th century in the context of a «theatre revolution». From the aesthetic-stage experiments arise «body twirls» sustained on various actions, gestures and movements that are still used today in the performing arts together with the concept of «performativity». This essay aims to introduce the historical foundations and relate them to the aesthetic tradition of theatrical studies to understand the origins of theatricality.Plantear una discusión de los criterios estéticos que fundamentan un discurso respecto a la noción de «danzalidad» requiere necesariamente hacerse cargo de una larga tradición escénica cuyos fundamentos se encuentran alrededor del 1900 en el marco de una «revolución del teatro» experimentaciones estéticoescénicas emerge un «giro corporal» sustentado en múltiples acciones de cuyas, gestos y movimientos que se mantienen vigentes hasta nuestros días en las artes escénicas junto al concepto de «performatividad». El objetivo de este ensayo es introducir estos fundamentos históricos y vincularlos a la tradición estética de los estudios teatrales para comprender los orígenes del concepto de «teatralidad».
