dc.description	To what extent is a literary genre which conventions imply the presence of a detective, the final reestablishment of the statu quo and the exemplary punishment of the guilty, compatible with Latin-American realities? Is it possible to talk about detective novels in societies where people do not have any faith in justice? My main hypothesis is that it is possible from a new genre that not only incorporates and restates some of the structures and conventions of the American hard-boiled novel, but that it also shares some features of innovative contemporary Spanish American fiction. Due to the necessity of the native writers to adopt, formal and thematically, alternative approaches when creating plausible detective stories, I have named this emergent genre: Hispano-American Alternative Fiction.	en-US
dc.description	¿Qué tan compatible con las realidades latinoamericanas es un género literario cuyas convenciones implican la presencia de un detective, el restablecimiento final del statu quo y el castigo ejemplar del culpable?¿Se puede hablar de novelas policiales en sociedades en donde la gente no tiene fe alguna en la justicia? Mi hipótesis principal es que sí, pero desde un género nuevo que no sólo incorpora y reformula algunas de las estructuras y convenciones del policial duro estadounidense (o novela del hard boiled), sino que además comparte algunos de los rasgos formales de la ficción contemporánea en Hispanoamérica. Dada la necesidad de los escritores nativos de adoptar, formal y temáticamente, caminos alternos a la hora de construir historias detectivescas que nos resulten plausibles, he denominado aeste género emergente: novelapolicialalternativahispanoamericana.	es-ES
