We postulate that from the written culture we can understand the richness of the oral culture and learn from it to trace a reference frame, which gives account of the internal logic of the oral culture. The written culture contains in itself the key to its huge power and to the root of its own limitation. The written story has author, name, clear structure, and its beginning and end are delimited. The oral text is a cultural act that is always becoming. Therefore, the oral text is an integra tion culture where the individual identity is relative for it always exists as the counterpart of another person. Se plantea aquí que desde la cultura letrada podemos comprender la riqueza de la cultura oral y aprender de ella, para delinear un marco de referencia que de cuenta de la lógica interna de la cultura oral. La cultura letrada contiene en sí misma la clave de su enorme poder y la raíz de su propia limitación. El relato escrito tiene autor, nombre, estructuración nítida; tiene marcados su principio y su fin. El texto oral es un acto cultural que siempre está haciéndose. Por ello, que es cultura de integración, donde la identidad del individuo es relativa, ya que siempre existe como contraparte del otro.
