| dc.description | The aim of this paper is to analize Diamela Eltit's work Los vigilantes (The surveillants), in which the problematics of the letter, the writing and the power are entwined. The letter is considered a discursive type that has the necessity to display the statement and recep tion situation from its source and, furthermore, it is a genre that elaborates a procrastinated dialog. This postulate is confirmed since the author of the letters that give shape to the novel is permanently haunted by a surveillance system, that transforms the narrated world —any Latin American city— into a great panoptic whose temporal indetermination allows it to be located as well in the Colonial Age as in the future. The writing, the space that is located outside the repressive circuit, reveals dimensions associated to the idea of deliverance. | en-US |
| dc.description | El objeto de este trabajo es analizar la obra Los vigilantes de Diamela Eltit, en la que se entrecruzan las problemáticas de la carta, la escritura y el poder. La carta es considerada un tipo discursivo que tiene la necesidad de exhibir la situación de enunciación y de recepción desde donde surge y además es un género que implementa un diálogo diferido. Esta postura se corrobora en tanto la autora de las cartas que dan forma a la novela es permanentemente acosada por un sistema de vigilancia, que convierte al mundo narrado, cualquier ciudad latinoamericana, en un gran panóptico cuya indeterminación temporal permite que sea ubicable tanto en la Colonia como en el futuro. La escritura, espacio que se ubica fuera del circuito de la represión revela dimensiones asociadas a la idea de salvación. | es-ES |
