| dc.description | In the Arts the processes of aesthetic transfiguration of images express the spiritual nature of human creativity. In this area, aesthetic transfiguration acts even upon what in the world of experience we deem disfigured or ugly. Thus, in this process the artist reveals to us human frailties and defects by virtue of the aesthetic quality of his creation. One tendency of a certain kind of contemporary art is to express negative values by mere descriptions prompted by a nihilistic or a morbid outlook on li fe and an interest in pornography. In these kinds of work the process of transfiguration does not take place and the opportunity of a more profound understanding of contempory man is also lost. | en-US |

La transfiguración estética actúa, en el arte, incluso sobre lo que en la realidad consideramos desfigurado. De este modo el artista nos revela las debilidades y defectos humanos, precisamente en virtud de la calidad estética de su obra. Una de las tendencias de cierto arte actual es la expresión de lo negativo humano a través de una descripción guiada por el nihilismo e incluso por la morbosidad y la pornografía.
