dc.description	The nymphs, from their mythological avatars to literary modernity, form an example of ecosimbolism that demonstrates a parallel between the feminist discourse and the nature discourse, backed by Gimbutas theories. According to her, the culture of the Goddess was associated with a culture of peace and cooperation, unlike the emergence of the patriarchal order of the Olympic gods. In this line, the stereotypes of nymphs in the myth or western literature often obscure or distort the role of these female deities. Hence the connections of these numbers with iconologies of monsters and figures such as the Potnia Theron, whose violent or crazy behavior glosses Calasso. Postmodernity has reused these icons —in decadent, lustful or mystical ways— to radiate this bundle of meanings, as in pre-Raphaelism and other artistic-literary discourses.	en-US
dc.description	Las ninfas, desde sus avatares mitológicos a la modernidad literaria, configuran un ejemplo de ecosimbolismo que evidencia un paralelismo entre el discurso feminista y el discurso de la naturaleza, avalado por las teorías de Gimbutas. Según ella, a la cultura de la Diosa se le asociaba una cultura de paz y cooperación, a diferencia justamente de la irrupción del orden patriarcal de los dioses olímpicos. En esta línea, los estereotipos de ninfas en el mito o la literatura occidental suelen oscurecer o desvirtuar el papel de estas deidades femeninas. De ahí las conexiones de estos númenes con iconologías de monstruos y de figuras como la Potnia Theron, cuya conducta violenta o enloquecida glosa Calasso. La posmodernidad ha reutilizado estos iconos —en formas decadentes, lujuriosas o místicas— para irradiar este haz de significaciones, como ocurre en el prerrafaelismo y otros discursos artístico-literarios.	es-ES
