Por ello, la consideración de la metafísica aristotélica solo comouniversalidad y sin considerar el valor de la haecceitas, el individuo aquí y ahora, implica suponer que lo abstracto es el valor más alto. Ello sería más bien errado y lo que se sostiene aquí es que Duns Scoto ha visto que no toda individualidad proviene de la materia, y en el caso de los seres personales sería más bien la propia persona el principio de individuación. Asimismo, desde el punto de vista del valor, la voluntad, puesto que quiere lo individual, sería la facultad más alta. Así el amor sería la forma más sublime de acto, puesto que apunta en su forma más alta al ser personal y de manera eminente, al ser personal divino. So, love would be the most sublime form of action, because point to personal being in his most higher form, and in an eminent way, love to personal divine being. Therefore, higher than mere abstract knowledge.
